Our sweet baby Connor came on August 9th! He was 7 lbs 14 oz and 20 in long. We had Dallin come and meet him at the hospital and I don't think he quite knew what was going on. He liked seeing Connor but was more interested in all the fun buttons to push and my big water cup with the big straw that sounds like an elk when you blow in it. We came home the next day and things were going great. We took him into his 4 day check up and he had lost too much weight so the Dr. told us to start giving him formula. We had problems from then on. When ever I'd give him a bottle he would start turning blue and stop breathing. We took him to flag that night and they admitted him to the Special Care Nursery. They found that he was dehydrated and having apneic episodes where he would just stop breathing for 20 or more seconds. They started some tests to try and figure out what was going on. He had a small bleed on the brain and they thought that it could possibly be seizures that he was having. So that started more tests. Poor little guy went through alot in just a few days. After waiting and waiting the tests came back and everything looked just fine and they had no idea what was causing the apnea or the bleed on his brain. They then decided to do a swallow study on him to see what the problem was with his eating. They found that for some reason he acted like a premie and won't breath while he eats and he'll just have to out grow it. He stayed a few more days in the NICU just to keep an eye on him and make sure he was doing ok with the bottle and that he wasn't having anymore episodes. We finally were able to come home! He is now on oxygen and an apnea monitor. He is doing great and we're hoping he only has a few more weeks with the oxygen and monitor. This sweet little guy sure gave us a big scare! We are so greatful to have him home with us and that he is healthy! We are trying to work with Dallin on learning to like his little brother but I think It might take a while. He tells us regularly "Connor go home, back to hopsital." It won't be long and they will be the best of friends!!!

38 Weeks!!!

Just an update on baby stuff! I'm now a little over 38 weeks and feeling it! I am ready to be done and hold this little guy in my arms. This last week I had another ultra sound just to check on a few things my dr. was concerned about, which everything it just fine. The ultrasound tech said that he is already about 8 lbs! My guess is that he isn't quite that big yet but probably close! She also asked "does his daddy have long legs??? Because he sure does!!!" I'm not surprised! He gets it from both sides and he brother sure has long legs. I can hardly wait to see him!!!

I don't remember having heartburn so bad with Dallin. The past few weeks have been horrible with heartburn. Some mornings i'll wake up and feel that my throat has been burned from having it all night long! Its not fun! And no, tums really don't help all that much. Oh well! Only a couple more weeks!
We have been trying to prepare Dallin for the baby coming, but I really don't think he has any clue whats about to come. I have a feeling that it just might be a pretty hard time for him. That being said, I have a feeling that I too have no clue whats about to hit me!! I'm excited and scared all at the same time! I'm just hoping that things will go well and I can handle having 2! We have been getting out all the baby stuff and Dallin thinks it's all his. He has had so much fun pretending to be a baby with everything. The carseat is probably the most fun! He is so cute and I'm excited for him to be a big brother.
Well next time I post I'll have some baby pictures!! For now, here is one at 37 weeks. I have no pictures of me this pregnancy so I figured I better get at least one or I'll regret it later.

Its been a fun month! I always love when march rolls around! Our anniversary is in march, Dallin's birthday, and also spring!!!! Besides the wind that it brings I just love the cool/warmer weather! You will almost always see my doors or windows open letting a nice breeze blow through. It also means that camping time is almost here!! I sure hope we can get a few trips in before the baby comes!

Dallin's Birthday!!

We have a 2 year old!!!
We had a little "balloon" party for him with cousins. He LOVES balloons! He can spot one from a mile away whether we are in the car driving or at wal-mart. Before the party I got my camera already for pictures. Changed then card to a blank one I had and charged the batteries. I took 5 pictures and it said my memory was full!!! I about died!! I guess I need to check how much memory the card will hold before hand. This one was only a 32M... Do they even sell those anymore??? Anyways I'm just glad I got a couple!
So about the terrible twos.... How long do they last???? He is a bit of a stinker at times. Especially at church. Andrew is in the bishopric and has to sit on the stand so we sit with my mom. Well.... Dallin and I usually sit out in the hall screaming. The second we walk in to sit down he starts throwing this huge fit because he wants to sit with Andrew. It's even worse when it's Andrews month to conduct the meeting! He can hear his voice over the speakers and just has a melt down! What a daddy's boy!!!! Other than the tantrums here and there he is lots of fun! He is talking SO much lately. We are finally starting to be able to communicate with him better. For the most part I really do like this age!

Pregnancy Update
I am almost 21 weeks. We found out a week ago that it's a boy!!!! I was completely shocked to hear it's a boy. EVERYONE has told me that it was going to be a girl so I had it stuck in my head that it was a girl. We were wrong!!! I'm really excited about having another boy! For one thing I already have everything for a boy and I'm excited for Dallin to have a brother that will be close to him to grow up with. I'm starting to get over the "I don't really feel pregnant" stage. Of course I'm not miserable yet, but getting uncomfortable at times. Anyways, everything is going well and going by pretty fast! I tried to scan my ultrasound pictures but my scanner wasn't working. They are some of the clearest pictures I've ever seen on an ultrasound. And a VERY clear picture that it's a boy! We compared them to Dallin's and the profile looks a lot alike. I'm excited to see what he looks like!

Today is our anniversary! I know I say this a lot but, time just flys by! I am just so greatful for what a great man that Andrew is and I love him more than the day I met him! I couldn't have asked for anyone better!

We had our family pictures taken a few months ago. We kept putting it off and putting it off and I'm so glad we did! We had them taken out on the farm and it was the perfect day to do it! The Past Few Months

Its way past time for an update! The past few months have been lots of fun, especially with Dallin! He is just growing so fast and learning new things every day. He is always making us laugh. He is really trying to talk a lot lately. Poor little guy gets really frustrated because we just can't understand him half the time. "Sossy" (roxy) is his best friend. Its a good thing she is a big dog, he likes to beat up on her and she just sits there and takes it. He has two other best friends, "Gerge" (Curious George) and "White" (Dwight Yokam) LOL!!! He loves watching george and who knows why he is in love with Dwight Yokam but he is. He loves to sit and watch his music videos on you tube and his favorite song is Streets of Bakersfield. He just cracks us up! This boy absolutely loves music and dancing to the music. He'll carry around our phone or ipod with the music playing and have to stop every few steps to get a little dancing in. He's got the best moves! Well as you can see our life would be pretty boring without him! So here is are some pictures from the past few months and of course they are all pictures of Dallin!!!!

We went to Andrew's parents house for Christmas this year and had lots of fun with everyone! We finally had to wake Dallin up to see what Santa brought him. He was excited to see a 4-wheeler, climbed up and pushed the button and it scared him. He quickly got off and kept saying "NO NO NO NO." He then wanted nothing to do with the bike and found the M&M's. We finally got him back on and showed him how to ride it and then we couldn't get him off.

Of course we had to take it outside and ride for a while.

Its amazing how fast time goes by! We sure are excited to see what the next year is going to bring!

California Part I - The Beach!!

I never thought August would get here! We had been planning this trip since February! My grandparents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year and they took us all on a cruise to Mexico to celebrate! It was so much fun getting to see all my family and get to spend time with them for a whole week. I have a TON of pictures so I'm going to do this in two different posts.

We decided that since we were going to be in California we HAD to go to the beach. So we went a few days early with Jesse and Amber to go play.

After a LONG drive we had to go play at a park to run some energy off that night

We headed to the beach the next day. It was a nice warm day until you got down to the water. Brrr! The wind that was blowing was pretty chilly from the water. Dallin LOVED the water! He is fearless when it comes to the water and so there was NO way I was going to let go if his hand.

Ignore the blinding whiteness of my legs. I decided to not put sunscreen on myself because we were only going to be there for a little while (I was trying to work on a tan)... not too smart! My shoulders were burnt pretty bad.

Being buried in the sand was a little warmer. Can you see his little toes poking out?

Andrew said there was no way he was going to a beach and not get in the water... so he and jesse did. It was SO cold!

The next day we went to Huntington Beach to just walk in the water and find some shells. We walked on the pier that went out over the water.

This was a better beach we went to than the day before.

California Part II - Crusin!

Every night our we'd come back to our room with our covers turned down and a cute towel animal. We took a class on how to make them, it was pretty cool!

Catalina Island! We anchored there for the whole day. We took boats in and got off on the Island to shop and play around.

We stopped here the next day and got off to go to all the cheap shops they have. My dad stayed on the ship and watched Dallin for us while we got off, that sure was nice!!! We got a few t-shirts and some other fun stuff. I loved how cheap it was! I wish we could shop here and "make them and offer" of how much we wanted to pay for something.

We couldn't tell if they were seals or seal lions and none of us knew the difference. They were everywhere! We got to see a few dolphins swimming too!

Everynight we went to dinner. It was just like some fancy restaurant, except its paid for and you could get anything you wanted!! Our waiters would do a little dance during dinner. It was pretty fun! The food was SOOOOO good!!! And the desserts were even better!!!!! And I can't forget about the ice cream that was available 24/7...... I can't count how many we ate!

We had so much fun, got a little sun , and gained a few pounds! I will definately be going on another one!!! I'm so greatful for the opportunity we had to go! Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa!!!

This boy LOVES the water!!! It amazes me how much he likes it! Andrew took him outside the other day to turn on the sprinklers to water the lawn and before he knew it, Dallin was running through them, by himself!!! Maybe I'm wrong but I don't know many kids his age that would run through the water and just let it hit them in the face! It was hillarious! His cousin, Tanner, on the other hand absolutly hates the water. He can barely put his feet in! We all went to a pool party the other day. Dallin couldn't wait to get in and Tanner wouldn't even dare set foot near the puddle of water on the concrete. It was so funny! Anyways, it was time to leave and Dallin screamed from the minute I took him out until he forgot about the water an hour later. He was NOT happy with us!

We sure love this little guy! I don't know what we'd do without him!

We've had a fun past few months! Here are a few things that have been going on:

The Pagent

A while back they asked my dad to be in Winslows "Alice's Guy" pagent. It's a fundraiser for an all womens shelter. I was suprised when he told them yes he would do it! They had swimsuit, talent, and evening gown competitions. My dad was a woman from the 1800's I guess you would call it?? He always had his gun and boots on. The whole thing was hillarious to watch! Here are a few pictures of him.

Warmer Weather!!!!

I love the warm weather!! We always get together with my family and do a cook out down on the farm for FHE. It's always lots of fun! We've gotta get a few more in before the mosquitos come!

Oh he is getting big!!! And smart too! We just love having him around! He is always doing something new and funny that Andrew and I just look at each other and can't help but laugh. "No No" and been a pretty popular word that he has been hearing lately. Now everytime I say it, he points his finger at me and shakes it telling me "No No." He is such a little goofball! Oh and we finally have a TOOTH!!!!!!!

My cousin asked me to make her wedding cake and of course I said YES!!! I was so excited to get to make another one! I have really enjoyed making them!

Now.... we are ready for summer!!! I can hardly wait for this spring wind to be gone so we can enjoy the nice weather!

Dallin started crawling about 2 weeks ago! Of course he started out slow but now he is everywhere! It cracks me up to see him pass by the hall going from room to room and listen to him giggle as he goes by. There are so many new things that hs just never knew where there that you can tell he wishes he would have found sooner like the dog food and the outlets. Dallin absolutely loves his daddy! At lunch time Dallin and I will be in the kitchen making lunch and when he hears the front door open he just starts squealing with excitement! I love it! It is just so much fun to watch him learn and discover new things every day. Here are a few pictures of him recently.

We had to lower the crib since he started crawling. He has now figured out how to pull himself up.

We love to take Dallin to see all the new baby calves on the farm. We usually go when Andrew gets home from work. I'll ask Dallin "where are the cows!?" and he'll look around and think really hard about where they are. Sometimes Papa is out there feeding so we'll usually help. He loves to get out of the truck to watch everything that is going on. I can already tell he is going to be and outside little boy.

10 Months Old

My Dallin boy is 10 months old today! I can't believe that he'll be 1 year old in 2 months. It sure shows how fast a year goes by. He is so much fun and changing every day. We haven't quite gotten down the crawling thing yet. Although he still gets around by rolling side to side until he is in arms reach of whatever he wants (usually something he shouldn't be getting). He can get up on his hands and knees and sit from that position too so I know that it won't be very long before he crawls! He is one curious little boy and so when he does crawl ... Oh he'll be into EVERYTHING! We are still waiting on teeth too! I keep thinking any day now but still nothin yet!

His favorite toy (besides my cell phone) is a spoon or a spatula. Give him one of those and he'll be happy for a while! For Christmas my grandma gave him a cute monkey that is bigger than he is. He gets a kick out of hit when Andrew throws it on him while he is laying down. He loves to look at himself in the mirror. He laughs and thinks that he is just so cute! We laugh just watching him.

Oh what would we do without Dallin! He is so sweet and so much fun to have around! I can't remember what we did with out him here! He sure keeps us busy trying to entertain him!

A Little Bit of Everything

I love Christmas time! Its such a fun time of year! It was great! We stayed home and spent it with my famiy. We got to see so many cousins and their kids that we haven't seen for a while. We had our Christmas Eve party with everyone. We had a nativity, played Christmas songs on the chimes, and ate all the yummy food! This year I mad a Candy Cane Coffee Cake to take to the party. It was yummy! It rose a bit more than I thought it would but Oh it was good! I love all the baking at Christmas time!

All the little shepherds need a spatula to help them sit still. It was so funny!

Biggest Loser Challenge Starts January 4th!!!

So I've been doing a Biggest Loser Challenge for the past 8 weeks with a few other ladies. Its been great!! I have such a hard time losing weight by myself and this was just what I needed for motivation and it was a chance to win some money too! I've lost 11 lbs so far and it ends on monday. I was hoping I would do better than what I did, but hey I'm not complaining about 11lbs lost!!!

Anyways she is starting another challenge that starts January 4th going for 8 weeks and everyone weighs in every monday on their own. If you want to play for the pot , you have to pay $20 or you can play for free (not for the pot). If anyone is interested leave me a comment with your e-mail and I'll send you more info! The more we get the better!!

Cake Decorating

So lately I have gotten into cake decorating. I've had an interest in it for a while now but have never really tried it until my mom volunteered me to make my cousins wedding cake! I about died when she told me that! But I decided I'd give it a try. It was SO much fun!!! It turned out pretty good and I was happy with it. She also volunteered me again to make another cake the next week. It was fun to make too, but I realized I need lots of practice. I'm wanting to get into it more but I don't want to make the a cake just to decorate and throw it away and I know if I made one, I'd probably eat it all and that wouldn't be very good. Oh well, I guess i'll just have to do it sometime. Maybe i'll take all the cake to Steph, LOL! She'd probably kill me! Anyways, here are the one's I've made.

I made this one with fondant. She didn't want it to all be cake so I just used styrofoam underneath.

This one is real cake with Almond Buttercream Icing. Yum! And I made the flowers and leaves out of fondant.

We gave Dallin his first hair cut tonight! I was so sad to see his soft baby hair go but he really needed it. It was getting to long to even do anything with so we decided to just cut it. And of course he is still so cute with his new little boy hair cut!

Utah Trip!

So this year on conference weekend we all took a trip up to Utah. Andrew and I went up a tad earlier so we could make a quick trip up to Idaho and visit his grandparents. I've never met them and it's been a while since Andrew had seen them so we decided that we were too close not to go visit. We had lots of fun and it was nice to get to spend some time with them. We did quite a bit of driving.... 1400+ miles. I was so nervous to even go on that far of a trip with a 7 month old in a car seat. I took everything possible to keep him entertained. All I have to say is that Baby Einstein was a LIFE SAVER!!!! I propped the computer up in front of him, plugged the binky in and turned it on! There were times he was entertained for quite a while! I think it would have been alot longer trip with out it.
While we were in Utah we all went to Corn Belly's at Thanksgiving point. That was lots of fun! We went through the corn maze.... and after getting lost a few time we finally made it out. They had lots of fun props to take pictures at so we did of course.

One of the reasons we went to Utah was to take family pictures. We went up the canyon where the fall colors were SO pretty and thats were we had them taken. We haven't gotten them back yet though.

After pictures we went to a Brazilian restaurant called Tucono's. They bring out different kinds of meat on long skewers and cut you a piece off to try. It was SO good! They also bring out fresh grilled pineapple. I'm not a fan of hot pineapple but this was to die for! YUM!

On Saturday night all the guys went to the priesthood session of conference and of course all the of us girls went shopping!

It was a fun week and was fun to spend time with all of my family. Its always fun to get together with everyone.

Summer Update

This summer has just flown by! We've mostly been doing the usual, nothin too exciting. We went and visited family in Safford a few times which is always fun. We also played CoEd Softball again this year. We were on the Henling Tech team. Lots of fun! We won the championship again too! Camping came and went. It was lots of fun like always.
Dallin is just growing and growing. Getting to be more fun everyday! He will be 7 months old next week! I can hardly believe it. I love watching him learn new things. Learning how to roll over, trying to sit up, discovering that he has hands and that he controls them, finding out that he has a voice, and so many more things. He loves his bath time and loves to play with dad. Andrew can always get him to laugh!

One night I decided to try and play with my camera so I could figure out how to take better pictures with it...... and lets just say that I won't be doing that again. Some how I erased all my pictures that I had taken, over 500. I wanted to CRY! Thank goodnes I had already put most of them on my computer already. So here are a few that I have taken over the summer... the ones I didn't lose.

The Past Few Weeks

Boy how time flys! Dallin is already 3 months old He is getting bigger and is SO much fun! He's smiling alot and he laughed for the first time on Sunday. He also rolled over the other night. He hasn't done it since but we'll keep trying. Its just so much fun to sit a play with him!

Usually for memorial day we go camping for the weekend, but we just went for a day this time. Besides the muddy mess that it was we had lots of fun! Grandpa pushed Dallin in the tire swing and put them both to sleep. It was a little chilly so we bundled him up and he looked so cute in his little hat. And we finally got some pictures of all three of us. We are so excited to go again in September for Labor day!!!!!

We blessed Dallin a few weeks ago also. He did so good and didn't even cry! Andrew's parents and little brother came for the weekend. It was lots of fun having them here!

He's A Growing Boy!

Well I'm long over due for a new update. I can't believe how hard it is sometimes to even get on here to update my blog now with a baby. I didn't think it would be this hard. Before, I thought "I'll have a ton of time to do things after I have the baby and getting to stay home all day. I can update my blog more, work on my baby quilt, make curtains, do some spring cleaning and whatever else I want!" ........ Well I was completely wrong! I've not done any of those things... yet. Just as I start to do somthing, he starts crying or on somedays he just will not let me put him down. Oh well! It's still tons of fun being a mom and I have to keep reminding myself that he is only going to be little and cuddly once! I can't believe how big he is getting! He is 7 weeks old now and getting bigger every day. I've never seen a new born eat as much as he does! Andrew said it in a good way.... He can't run on 3/4 of a tank, he has to be full and topped off in order to be happy. I knew he was getting bigger but I didn't realize how big he was getting until I saw little Tanner, who was born last week. He was 8lbs 9oz and is itty bitty. I feel like I might break him. I can't remember Dallin being so tiny and he was actully alot smaller than Tanner. We weighed him the other day and he is now over 12 lbs. To me, since I'm with him all day everyday, he doesn't seem that much bigger from when he was born.... but he is! He also just started smiling about a week ago! And it was an actual smile, not the gassy smiles new borns give. It has been so much fun being a mom .... Maybe not so much at about 2 am and 4 am, but once we get through the night its much better. When we first brought him home I told him that I was really sorry, but he couldn't have any bothers or sisters. But I'm starting to change my mind. Not any time soon, but eventually!

Sorry it has taken me so long to post! Well he is here!!!! Meet Dallin Andrew. He came on Friday March 13th. I went into my appointment on thursday the 12th and my blood pressure was WAY too high and my doctor didn't want to take any chances so he told me they needed to induce me and for us to head to the hospital. I think my blood presssure hit the roof when he told me that! I wasn't expecting that nor was I mentally ready to have a baby! So we went to the hospital and they started everything. I wasn't progressing so they decided to let me sleep through the night and continue on in the morning. At about 5 am they started again. I was progressing faster and they finally broke my water. That made everything get going. I was ready for an epidural so they gave me one. Some how they put it in and it made only my whole right side go numb and I could still feel everthing on the left. That was horrible! So she decided to take it out and put in a second one. By this time i've had 3 doses. It finally worked but my whole right side was completely numb! I couldn't feel nor move a thing. With in about 45 min to an hour I went from a 3 to a 10. Thank goodness!!! I didn't want it to last forever. I started pushing at 10:50 and had him at 11:25 am! He weighed 6 lbs 15.5 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long. Everthing went great! We got to bring him home on Saturday afternoon. It has been completely different with our little guy here. Lots of fun and not a whole lot of sleep. Its fun getting to know him and see how much he changes from day to day. I can't wait for the next months and years to come!

I do!!!! I swore I would never get to the point in my pregnancy that my pants in front are sagging to my knees and my shirts are getting to short that my belly hangs out! Guess what. I'm at that point and it's driving me crazy!!! And there isn't much I can do about it any more. I only have about 2 weeks left and i'm not spending the money on MORE maternity clothes. They should make special suspenders for pregnant women. I'd buy some if they did (and maybe they do and I just haven't looked hard enough for them). I'll just be glad when I can just wear my normal clothes again!!

Yup it's been 2 years!! It has just flown by! So much has happened! We've moved to Winslow, bought our first house, got our wild Roxy dog, are managing the rental business, bought our first car, have great callings in our ward, expecting our first little boy here in about 4 weeks, and have done SO much more!! How blessed we have been in the past 2 years. I see how much we have done and accomplished so far I can only wonder what the next years are going to bring. There is no one else I'd rather spend the rest of forever with than Andrew!

The Little Painted Desert

So on saturday Andrew wanted to go "Site Seeing"...... In Winslow..... Where is there to go site seeing in Winslow?? I had no clue where to take him that would be fun that we haven't already been. So he asked me about the Little Painted Desert that he had driven by on his way to the rez one day. It sounded fun and we didn't have to drive forever to get there. So we went! I haven't been since I was little! Probably for a field trip in elementary school. It was SO neat! SO amazing that there is something that beautiful so close to Winslow. After taking pictures we headed down the road alittle ways more just for a fun drive. I guess I have never realized how pretty this area really is. I couldn't stop taking pictures. What a fun day we had. Now we have to hit all the other places that I have completely forgotten about that are so neat and fun to go see. If you haven't ever been to see the Little Painted Desert I would definitely recommend going! Now I want to see the bigger Painted Desert.

Oh how I don't like taking pictures of me! Andrew took this one for me a few days ago and I don't know how many I took before I just gave up and said NEVERMIND! I told a few people that I haven't seen in a while that I would post one so I guess I will. I really don't like how I look right now but oh well.... here in about 8 weeks i'll be looking back and thinking "oh I didn't look too bad!" We had our ward Christmas party a week or so ago and they took family pictures at it. I really like how ours turned out. I tried to get Andrew to go get family pictures taken before I got pregnant but that was like trying to pull teeth! So we haven't had nice pictures taken since our wedding..... 2 years ago! For some reason he hates getting them done so I MADE him take this one with me. He told me "only ONE! We aren't going to look and see if you like it or not and keep taking them" so i told him "then lets take a good one and we won't have to!" Well it turned out pretty good and we didn't have to take several. So hopefully some day when the baby is here I can drag him to go get them done! Hope everyone has a great Christmas!!!!

BOY!!! We went to the doctor yesterday and found out that "it" is a "HE"!!!!! We are so excited to finally know. Everything is going great. The ultrasound was fun to see. She showed his profile and we could see his little lips moving. Oh it made it so real that there really is a baby in there! Then she showed the bottom of his feet and we could see all 10 cute itty bitty toes. I told Andrew that I wanted to get an ultrasound machine (I don't know what its called) so that we could be able to see him when ever we want. Oh that would be fun! Well thats all my exciting news!

This never happens! I have alot to blog about!

Our Shed:
We finally have a shed! A few weeks ago we had a "barn raising" is what we called it, and of course it was on the day that we had winds blowing 70 mph! Well I don't really know how fast it was but it was a BAD and NASTY day! My dad was planning on finishing it that day because we had lots of help..... but plans changed and they only got the walls up. I felt bad for them to have to be working out in the nasty wind so I'm glad they quit when they did. Well my dad has been coming over every other day or so and finishing it up! And I can finally put all our stuff in it!!!!!! Yay!!!! He did a great job on it and I'm so thankful for him doing it for us.

New Carpet!
We have been waiting and saving for carpet and we finally were able to get it! And oh how nice it is! The entire house before was all wood floors. They were nice, they just really needed to be refinished. They are the original wood floors from the 40's (i'm guessing) which means that they weren't any good for insulating and it sure showed last winter in our gas bill. So our goal was to get carpet by this winter and we did it! It is so nice and the house seems so much more homey(is that a word?) It also doesn't get quite as dusty which is great. I think just about every night when we are home and just relaxing one of us has to mention how much we love the carpet! Its great and so comfortable. It will also be so much better for a baby. Just one thing to say.... Vacuuming is way better than sweeping in my opinion!

FHE Halloween Party

Baby Update!
Everything is going great! I'm 18 1/2 weeks. We find out what it is going to be here in a few weeks and we are so excited!!!! I just want to be able to call it he or she instead of it. Also I felt it move last week!!! I felt a little twitching feeling and I keep feeling it more and more as the days go by. I was really unsure if it was the baby at first but now i'm pretty darn sure thats what it is. It's so exciting to be able to feel it and i'm excited to feel the large movements!

So yesterday I had a Dr. appointment in flag. Everything was great but that wasn't the high light of the day. We went to Old Navy and they had a sale on shirts. Nothing great for women's but TONS of polo shirts for men! They were all $1.99 each! I had to double check with the lady there so that I wouldn't get my hopes up and it be the wrong shirts or something, beacuse I always do that. Well they really were $1.99 and I couldn't pass it up! I think I bought like 11 shirts for Andrew.... all the shirts they had that I knew he would like. I figured... For $1.99 why not!!!! When I got home I told him to sit down that I had a suprise for him. I started pulling shirts and more shirts out of the bag and he told me "Uh I think you spent to much I don't need that many more shirts." So I made him guess how much I got them all for and he thought I got them on sale for like $6....... NOPE!!!!!!!!!!! $1.99 each!!!!!!!!!! I only spent $23.00 on 11 shirts! Usually one shirt costs that much! Anyways if you are around an Old Navy anytime this week stop by and see if they have there sale! I don't know how long the sale lasts!

Well not a whole lot has been going on lately. I guess thats why I haven't posted in over a month! We did paint our living room on saturday while watching conference. It was fun and the room desperatly needed it. I really want to get things done before we have the baby which I know seems a ways away but I have a feeling that it is going to come alot quicker than we think. We are working on building a shed this weekend in our back yard. All I can say is YAY!!!!!!!!! Our poor baby won't have a room if we don't. Maybe we just have too much stuff. Oh well I'm just SOOO excited to have a shed!!! If I get some pictures I'll post them, hopefully next week.

Everything is going good with the pregnancy. I'll be 16 weeks on saturday!! I'm glad that the "being sick" stage is pretty much over. I wasn't ever really sick and I never threw up, but I just felt yucky which is still not fun. And also I am very excited to get out of this looking fat stage and finally look like I really am pregnant. So that means I probably won't post any pictures of me until I am actually looking pregnant. It seems like it is going by pretty fast but yet at the same time pretty slow. When I see how much farther I have to go it seems like forever but when I look back on the whole thing, It has just flown by! We get to find out what we are having in about 4 weeks and we can't hardly wait. We are so excited!!!!!

Well thats about it. I say this just about everytime I post but hopefully I'll get another post on here soon!

I'm Pregnant! You don't know how good it feels to finally be able to tell everyone! We wanted to wait until we had our first ultrasound to tell everyone. It's been a very hard secret to keep! We are VERY excited!! I am about 9 1/2 weeks (I'll be 10 weeks on saturday). The due date is March 28th. I want to put up a baby ticker but I've decided to wait until it looks more like a baby than a little tad pole.

Being able to see the baby on the ultrasound was so neat. We could see the little heart beating and little stubby legs and arms moving. Seeing it helped make it feel a little more real that we really are going to be having a baby! As for me there isn't one I want more than the other. A girl will be fun to dress up but I hear boys are much easier... so what ever we have will be wonderful no matter what! And as for Andrew, he says it doesn't really matter to him either but I know he is secretly rooting for a boy.

Everything has been going good. A little sick but nothing unbearable. Brushing my teeth is the worst!!! I feel like I could gag just thinking about it! I can't complain because I know it could be worse.

Well thats all the exciting news I have for now. I do have a question for any of the expert bloggers about how to put the cute headers on my blog.... I can't figure it out. I'm sure it's pretty easy and thats why I can't do it. So if any of you would like to help me I would love it! Just leave me a comment. Thanks!

2008 Softball Champs!

What a fun summer we've had getting to play softball! At the beginning of the summer Steph and Tim asked us if we want to play on a co-ed softball team. And of course we said "SURE!" They asked a whole bunch of others to play and we had a team. RT Rentals was our team name and of course we had shirts made for our "uniform". We really did pretty well at all our games with some wins and losses. It was a good team to have. No complianers and no fights. I think everyone was just out there to have fun.

Well the summer flew by and the next thing we knew we were in the championship game! We played good and we won! I think everyone decided that we had to win so we didn't have to play again right after that at 9:30 which was too late to be playing softball.

We had a fun time playing a maybe we'll get to do it again next summer!

Girls Camp

My calling in our ward is with the Young Women. When they first asked me to be in there I thought "ugh!! I just got out like 2 years ago!" But since I have been in there I have had alot of fun and have learned so much. I love the girls and ladies I work with. They are awesome! One of the fun parts of being in YW is getting to go to girls camp. We went about 2 weeks ago and it was so much fun. Its alot different as a leader than when I went as a girl. Some good things and some not as good, but still tons of FUN! This year Stephanie, my mom , my dad, and I all got to go which made it even more fun. I was with the 4th level girls. We went down a day early and did our over night hike. They all went repelling and had lots of fun. Such a fun group to be with. We were out there in a sunday which was really cool. We had all our meetings out there which was a pretty neat experience. I could go on forever about the whole week but I won't. I'll just say it was a really fun week!

~It may be weird but I love when Andrew walks in the door after work and seeing Roxy get so excited to see him that she almost pees all over the floor (she doesn't but thats how excited she gets. We don't let Roxy inside when Steph comes over because everytime she does, she does pee!.... But only for Steph no one else)
~I love being an aunt and seeing Austin and Lana run to me yelling "JACKIE!!" It just makes me happy and so excited to have kids of my own some day.

~I don't like being home alone much, especially at night. Roxy isn't much of a guard to go make me feel better either.
~MICE!!!! I hate mice. I guess I'm not so much afraid of them, they just gross me out!
~Not being a very good teacher to my kids someday.

~Get back into shape, like I was in High School. And along with that, Lose a little weight.
~Do better at not being such a chicken at things.
~Do better at reading my scriptures.... I really need to work on that one.

~I have a very LARGE collection of dust at my house! I get tired of having to dust every other day!
~DVR. I hate watching TV with out it now. We shouldn't have ever got it in the first place then I wouldn't have this dumb problem!

Twins........ Born 6 Years Apart!

Most of you who know us both are probably wondering..... Twins?? You don't even look like twins! Thats what we think! But for some reason since Andrew and I have moved back people always think I'm Stephanie and sometimes they think Stephanie is me. AT LEAST once or twice a week when we are out and about in town people always tell me things like "Hi Stephanie" , " Stephanie I need you to sign here" , "Mom's out without the kids huh?", or "So you aren't working at Farmers anymore?" it goes on and on! Stephanie gets it too like the other day someone that I had been talking to earlier asked her "So did you get it all figured out" and she was like "uh....... yeah???" The lady finally realized that it was Stephanie and not me and told her "nevermind.... I think I'm losing it". It's too funny! One of the funny ones was when Stephanie was at Wal-Mart, someone that I graduated with saw her and stood infront of her, didn't say it but was kinda like "uh hi!" then they realized it wasn't me and kept walking. So funny! We just can't see how people can get us that mixed up? Sometimes when I have to tell them "no I'm Jackie, Stephanie is my sister" they ask "Oh my goodness are you TWINS????" Yeah I guess so, just born 6 years apart!!! We really don't think we look THAT much alike ... do we? I'm about 4 inches taller than her, she has dark brown hair and I have blonde. I guess its the cheeks that confuses everyone.

Well this month has gone by pretty fast. As you can see it has been one month since my last post. Its pretty sad, but I really don't have anything to post. No kids yet and i'm pretty sure that no one wants to hear about how our dog is doing. Anyways, over the past weekend we went to Safford to see Andrew's family. That was alot of fun. We got to see his, I guess OUR new nephew. He's a cutie! For some reason I just can't put it in my head that his neices and nephews are mine too. We had a family picnic at Roper lake and that was fun. We played horse shoes, ate lunch, and Andrew tried to fish, but no luck. What a fun weekend. Then on monday his other sister stopped by on their way through town to see us. It was a lot of fun! Well not much more has been going on. Mostly just working. I'm pretty excited for this next up coming month! Alot is going on. We get to go camping, start planting some grass, and just have the nice weather. I'm so excited! Hopefully i'll have more to say here in the next couple weeks.

Ok, Paula tagged me to do a book tag. I don't have very many books here at my house but the closest one to me I about died when I saw what it was. We got it for our wedding from one of Andrew's mission companions. Its called "The Action Hero's Handbook." Its a weird book but when I looked at the 5th sentence I thought is was funny. The 5th sentence is "Getting hit with a chair from behind, or from any side by a metal chair, will inflict a significant amount of pain and injury." I don't know why but Andrew thinks this book is hilarious.

Our Valentines Day!

What a great Valentines day it was! Andrew wanted to buy me a new set of scriptures for Valentines day. I have been wanting some for a while now. Some that have my new name on them. He was affraid that I was going to think it was dumb to get scriptures for Valentines Day, but of course I didn't I was excited. I haven't gotten them yet but they are on there way and I'm so excited!! He also gave me flowers.... not roses, red tulips! They are so pretty! I love them! He is such a sweet boy! Anyways, I wanted to make Andrew a cake that said I love you on it, so I did. After a few hours I was finally done with it, I put it on the counter and went to go do a few other things in the room. I came back in the kitchen and there I see Roxy tucking her tail and running out as I walk in (knowing she was already in trouble)......... oh and I can't forget to mention her licking all the white frosting thats all over her black lips as she is running away! Oh I wanted to beat that dog!!!!!! She made me so mad I wanted to cry!!! After a while I thought oh well, I guess life wouldn't be any fun with out stories like that to look back on and laugh. This Valentines Day was great!

Well not a whole lot has been going on lately. Just working! Andrew and I have recently gotten new callings. Andrew was called to be the new scout master and likes it so far and I am the first counselor in the Young Women. It been lots of fun being in there with all the girls and it has been a good experience too.

Wow! I think that it is way past time to change my blog. We had a great Christmas! We were able to go to Andrew's parents house for a few days before and then came home and had Christmas here in Winslow. Its always fun to go see them. Since then we have just been really busy. We are now managing RT Rentals here that my dad recently bought. It has been lots of fun learning how to run it and it will be even more fun when we can run it with ease and make it grow. Not much more has happened lately and we don't have kids yet to tell about, although we do have Roxy and she is just growing bigger and bigger (I'm sure you all want to know about her!).

Well we have finally gotten ourselves a computer! Now I can blog! I am just getting started and still learning all the fun things you can do and how to change things. It's a little boring right now but I'll eventually learn it all. Anyways, if you have read Stephanies blog lately you'll see why I had to start one.
